UASIN GISHU TVET TREE PLANTING DAY Kapseret Forest, Uasin Gishu County – March 11, 2026

TVET institutions across Uasin Gishu County joined hands today 11th March 2026 at Kapseret Forest in a collective effort to plant trees.

The event brought together key partners, including the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Kenya Forest Service (KFS), and members of the local community.

Participating institutions included The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP), Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI), and Kipkabus Technical and Vocational College (TVC) among others.

The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Paul Seurey, TENP Deputy Principal (Administration), alongside NEMA and KFS officers. Also in attendance were The Human resources Officer Mr. Eliud Tanui, The Greening Champion Mr. Jonathan Ngenoh among other members of staff.

During the event;

* 5,300 Indigenous tree seedlings were planted
* Collaboration among TVET institutions, government agencies, and the community was strengthened
* Community participation in environmental conservation and sustainability in the region was reinforced.

This initiative underscores the commitment of TVET institutions to environmental conservation and sustainability, aligning with national directives and the global call to action under SDG 13: Climate Action.
