Guidance & Counselling Coordinator

The Head of Department of Guidance and Counselling supports students’ mental, emotional, social, academic, and personal wellbeing by providing professional guidance, counselling, and appropriate student support services.

She provides career and vocational guidance, academic and personal support, and assists students to make informed decisions regarding their education, training, career development, and personal lives.

She also equips students with essential life and employability skills, promotes inclusivity and equity, and fosters positive interpersonal relationships through communication, empathy, teamwork, mutual respect, and cooperation.

Peer Champion & Educator
Ibrahim - Peer Champion and Educator As a Peer Champion and Educator at The Eldoret National Polytechnic, my role is to promote a healthy, supportive, informed, and empowered student community through peer-to-peer education and engagement.

I work with fellow students to create awareness on health and wellbeing, encourage positive behavioural change, and provide information that enables students to make responsible and informed decisions.

Through peer education and engagement, I help students develop essential life skills, build healthy social relationships, develop confidence, and strengthen their leadership abilities.

I also serve as a support bridge, connecting students who may require assistance with appropriate guidance and counselling, health, welfare, and other support services within the institution.

Core Objectives of the Peer Education Club
  • Promote health awareness.
  • Encourage positive behavioural changes.
  • Build essential life skills.
  • Develop positive social relationships.
  • Empower students through leadership development.
