NEMA national Board Member Prof. Charles Ngome accompanied by the NEMA county director, Uasin Gishu Mr. Solomon Kihiu and other NEMA officials visited TENP on 31st May 2024 to discuss the adoption of Lemook Swamp/ Wetland by TENP under the Adopt a Wetland Initiative .
Prof. Ngome applauded TENP for environmental conservation and climate Action milestones so far achieved, he thanked TENP for the active participation in this year’sNational World Wetlands day celebration held at Narasha dam.
He stated that the adopt a wetland initiative seeks to catalyse the participation of various stakeholders in enhancing wetland restoration and conservation, and that in adopting Lemook wetland TENP is set to be recognized as a Lead Champion in Wetland restoration.
The team were received by the Chief Principal and the Environment Officer
