Today 31st October 2024 the Registrar Administration send off two trainees to attend a 5-day Global Citizenship Education Program in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Global Citizenship Outreach Program in Dar es Salaam offers a distinctive opportunity
for students to engage in an immersive experience at Silver Sand Beach, Mbezi. Through this unique beach camping setting, students from various institutions in Africa will collaborate on activities centered around the Social, Economic, and Environmental pillars of sustainable development.
The Africa for SDGs GCED program is designed to empower young leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to address global challenges and contribute to sustainable development. Through this experience, they will foster a deeper understanding of global citizenship, encourage intercultural exchange, and inspire action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The program’s core objective is to empower participants with innovative approaches to mainstream ESD/GCED at their institutions in order to accelerate the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Mr. Kili asked the students to represent Kenya and the Eldoret National Polytechnic well at the international stage, the students were also provided with brochures so as to market our institution beyond the borders.
