The Eldoret National Polytechnic marked Mazingira Day through three impactful environmental conservation initiatives:
1. Fruit tree planting at TENP main campus.
The event was led by the Deputy Principal - Academics Madam Penninah Ogutu a total of 100 trees were planted also present were the Dean of Students Mr. Chemitei, the Greening Champion Mr. Ngenoh, Deputy Dean, the student leadership and clubs including environment club, scouts, Equity scholars club.
2. Clean Up exercise at the University of Eldoret;
TENP students and staff led by the Greening Champion and the chair of the environment club participated in the clean-up of Sokomo market.
3. Fruit Tree Planting at Kaptuktuk Primary School:
The institution participated in a tree-planting event led by the PS for Basic Education, Prof. Julius Bitok an alumni of Kaptuktuk Primary. The event was attended by dignitaries, including the County Commissioner, Dr. E. Nyale, and MPs from Moiben, Kessess, Soy, and Chesumei constituencies among others.
These activities reflect TENP's commitment to environmental conservation, climate action, and sustainability.
