In his opening remarks,Chief Principal Dr. Charles Koech OGW expressed pride in the institution’s outstanding achievements, noting that The Eldoret National Polytechnic is the first institution in Kenya to officially launch the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program. He further highlighted the polytechnic’s continued excellence in academics, co-curricular activities, and innovation.

“Our trainees have continued to excel both in and outside the classroom,” said Dr. Koech. “We are proud that in the recent TVET fairs, 8 out of 13 items presented by our teams qualified to proceed. This is a testament to our commitment to holistic education.”

Dr. Koech also emphasized the role of technical and vocational education in driving progress across the continent.

“Recently, The Eldoret National Polytechnic was ranked the best National Polytechnic in Kenya, and we take this as a challenge to lead from the front. I invite all of us to discuss how TVET can be the engine that drives Africa’s innovation,” he added.

As discussions continue, TENP reaffirms its position as a hub of innovation, research, and excellence in technical education — setting the pace for the future of Africa’s workforce.
